Melbourne duo Mug are siblings Lily and Sam Harding. Their oblique melodic pop echoes the 80’s underground of Australia, while nodding to the world of Eurocentric art-rock. The Mug landscape is filled with mechanical synthesisers and drum machines in combination with acoustic instrumentation and field recordings. Eerie yet calming, Lily Harding’s voice weaves through each landscape like a hymn or holy recitation, unearthing powerful images in an unadorned reverie.
