The Palmist label was a labour of love project dedicated to releasing limited vinyl-only runs of artists we loved and thought more people should hear about. Much of the music released comprised of home recordings, or came from artists with roots in the DIY tradition. Founded on a belief in the beauty of imperfection, DIY and substance over style. It was an appreciation of the tacticity of analogue and natural individuality – a rebellious rejection of computer files and internet streams. The packaging was done in-house, with hand-numbered and stamped records. All artwork was created by James Cartwright.
