Following on from the 2023 ‘cult-post-something-organ-jams’ that was ’Songs Wrought Wrong / Fecund With Love’, Ubiquitous Meh!’s Luke Richards returns with another foray into the experimental pop landscape. This time, in collaboration with New York rapper/producer Height Keech on the ’Only Blood’ EP. 

Richards and Keech met in Caen, France during 2011 as their respective European tours crossed paths and have stayed in touch as music-obsesso pen pals ever since. In 2017, Richards provided organ for Keech’s UK tour and the pair chatted about pairing the unique sounds of the Hohner with Height’s dynamic productions on some recordings. 

Only Blood is the first recorded result of the collaboration. Keech’s grimy R ‘n’ R beats prove to be the perfect foundation for Richards’ delay-laden vocals and spooky organ – resulting in an uncanny mix of outsider psych and hooky rhymes.
